Beneficiaries

  1.  Regular citizens of the County Government. These are the people that will get a chance to the air their views and get a chance to hold their leaders accountable on this major issue. These are also the ones that will experience improved services from their leaders.
  2. The Central government that will not now experience huge hemorrhage of resources and budget properly for counties.
  3. Ethnic or religious minorities that should now easily get a chance to work with government or access services to combat climate crisis.
  4. Communities on forested areas that need to be moved in order that our forests may be preserved.

Objectives

    1. To clamor for support for the freedoms of expression, peaceful assembly, awareness and immediate action on climate crisis.
    2. To get leaders to directly engage the public in issues of governance and accountability to public decisions and allocation of resources to contribute to the combating of climate of climate crisis
    3. To get leaders to be accountable for every decision they make and how they use public resources for the benefit of the common man, which is supposed to be in the best interest of the public that they govern.
    4. To share timely governance information with the electorate and keep the public well informed that they may not stay ignorant on climate crisis.
    5. To constantly air and give attention to marginalization issues, putting a spotlight on on endangered species that they may be taken care of on at the local governance level.
    1. Lastly, the overall goal, to provide a platform for constant direct dialogue and information sharing between the electorate and their local leaders on efforts being made and options being taken to combat climate crisis. 
    2. To involve all stake holders in public policy/awareness in a national dialogue that will bring about accountability to public resources.
    3. To train the public on Green Energy and the Green New Deal

Expectations

  • A green economy approach to entrepreneurship, manufacturing, production and product development in Kenya, especially at the local level.
  • Freedom of Expression on climate change advocacy and stronger push from the public for governments to legislate specific requirements that will discourage the use of fossil fuels as a means to manufacturing and product development.
  • Investment in Green energy based research and solutions at the local governance level.
  • Increase in funding budget in subsequent county budgets devoted to green energy solutions released by the Auditor General.
  • Accountability to the electorate who going forward will make proper decisions with utmost caution to prevent further destruction of our environment. In other words, a more educated and informed public participating in the development of a green economy and the green new deal.
  • More localized development of all segments of society, especially women, youth and people with disabilities in efforts to combat climate change.

  5. Development and Comparison of County financial, infrastructural and administrative audit reports
  6. Development of GreenDeal; An artificially intelligent platform that teaches young people how to use locally available materials to develop renewable energy solutions to power their local businesses and activities. This site should also present solutions from other parts of the western world to Young Kenyans to inspire green energy creativity.
